Democracy is overrated anyways! :D
Excelsior_Thirty 27th Jul 2020, 9:51 AM
Should they resort to dictatorship in the band? X)
kennethsarmstrong 28th Jul 2020, 2:12 PM
It might be until you notice that it no longer exists. Think of what Hong Kong is currently going through.
kennethsarmstrong 28th Jul 2020, 9:04 PM
It may be, until it disappears, albeit quickly or slowly. Think about what is happening in Hong Kong.

Donald Trump prefers autocrats to democratic leaders. Why else does he seem to like the governments of Russia, China, and Saudi Arabia?

Trevor is not necessarily an autocrat, but he has always gotten his way when running the band.
GoodKaptainKook 30th Jul 2020, 9:26 PM
I thought the :D made it obvious I was joking. I guess not and I gave the Internet too much credit.
Long Tom 30th Jul 2020, 11:03 PM
Does he really? Maybe you prefer liberal democracies like Iran and Cuba?
kennethsarmstrong 31st Jul 2020, 4:39 AM
I meant Donald Trump, not me. Every time an autocratic country does something undemocratic, Trump looks the other way.

Natalie Portman said it best. "(So) this is how freedom dies... with thunderous applause." The same thing happened to the US in January of 2017.
Long Tom 31st Jul 2020, 11:22 AM
Yeah, peace and prosperity and the will of the American people sure suck, don't they?
Fox Of Kings Island 27th Jul 2020, 12:01 AM
Fox Of Kings Island
Okay... SOMEONE needs to take a chill pill!
ace_country 27th Jul 2020, 4:16 PM
Agreed, but having experience in being in 2 bands i understand why he wigged out. Having a leader in the band is fine as long as everyone agrees to it on mutual terms. But claiming leadership or letting people think you're the leader when that's not the case, that leads to bands breaking up. Look at Van Halen, david lee Roth was arrogant as hell and Axl Rose from GnR...well....he was just the worst type of asshole. Sharing equal leadership and responsibilities in the band is what keeps it going for decades
FreyFox 28th Jul 2020, 10:08 AM
Sometime there can only be one leader, can't there?
ace_country 30th Jul 2020, 7:00 PM
Well in my case we shared the leadership equally and everybody had a say in what was written
Long Tom 30th Jul 2020, 11:06 PM
I read that Glenn Danzig is the supreme leader of his band and his fellow performers must do exactly what he wants every time, all the time.
Jake Elmer 27th Jul 2020, 12:26 AM
Oh Lord this kinda reminds me of doing the SPCM projects and I wasn’t getting credits for my work.
kennethsarmstrong 28th Jul 2020, 4:05 PM
Your situation sounds like what happened to Bill Finger. He helped create Batman with Gil
Bob Kane. Finger never was credited in comic books, or on movie and TV projects, until recently.

The comic book industry refers to this practice as "getting Fingered."

Most comic book creators had to sign over what they created and were paid a pittance for it. When these comic book characters became movies or TV programs, the creators never were paid for their work.

By the way, what is SPCM?
WCP 29th Jul 2020, 2:32 PM
That’s Bob Kane. Not Gil Kane.
kennethsarmstrong 29th Jul 2020, 10:41 PM
I don't know why I mistook Gil Kane for Bob Kane. Neither artist was related. Gil Kane was famous for modernizing Green Lantern 😶🙄🦇.
WCP 31st Jul 2020, 12:23 AM
I didn’t know a Gil Kane was involved in comics myself. You learn something new every day.
WaxBadger 27th Jul 2020, 12:41 AM
Leeroy you might want to rethink your advice, sake is the last thing Trevor needs since he's on the brink. What he needs is a hot sponge bath with incense.
FreyFox 27th Jul 2020, 12:30 PM
I don’t think Trevor would want Leeroy to give him a sponge bath XD
WaxBadger 27th Jul 2020, 1:36 PM
I never said Leeroy himself would do it. I mean this is Japan they're in, he could find a private bath house to visit and hire someone to do it for him.
kennethsarmstrong 28th Jul 2020, 3:16 PM
Good point. I remember when Reggie, in a drunken stupor, insulted a transgender woman. She promptly gave Reggie a bloody nose.
WCP 27th Jul 2020, 12:47 AM
That’ll make things better Lee. Make the angry squirrel drunk. 🥴
kennethsarmstrong 28th Jul 2020, 8:14 AM
I hope this show is NOT being shown live. The last thing Trevor needs is to have a meltdown in front of millions of potential fans. And please keep him from the booze.
kennethsarmstrong 28th Jul 2020, 3:30 PM
And then Trevor says something stupid during the interview.

Wait until the band is in a more private setting before letting him go on a bender.
Shaggy 27th Jul 2020, 2:33 AM
Oh no...
David31 28th Jul 2020, 9:37 AM
When democracy fails, get drunk! :D
kennethsarmstrong 28th Jul 2020, 8:48 PM
With alcohol or with power? Neither option sounds palatable, especially with Trevor.
WCP 28th Jul 2020, 10:00 PM
Democracy Dies in Drunkeness
kennethsarmstrong 29th Jul 2020, 10:58 PM
Especially when someone gets drunk with power, and no one does anything to stop him/her. If that person is backed by those who want to remain in power, this will only worsen the situation.
WCP 31st Jul 2020, 12:22 AM
It’s a play on the phrase “Democracy Dies in Darkness”
kennethsarmstrong 31st Jul 2020, 3:10 AM
The overly secretive Trump administration is a perfect example. The problem is that no one wants to deal with its wrongdoing.
Long Tom 1st Aug 2020, 3:13 PM
Or when you have 1001 fake scandals to deal with...
