Makes me wonder if there's about to be inter-band romance with Simon. Fans of bands love speculating about stuff like that :D

Gosh, she wrote the overwhelming majority of lyrics and the music to their most recent album? Trevor says it was democratic but how many times do we see a new member come in and basically completely take over a band and become their central figure/face? It's happened more than a few times :D
kennethsarmstrong 11th Jul 2020, 1:05 AM
But can she help Zombie Korma
sell albums like Trevor's albums have?
FreyFox 11th Jul 2020, 9:46 AM
FreyFox
Well did you see the length of the queue in the previous strip in relation to the rest of the band? :P
kennethsarmstrong 11th Jul 2020, 1:09 PM
I did see the crowds around Zara, but Zombie Korma's new album will not likely be available until the fall.

It looks like the new album is a hit. Could Trevor be working on Zombie Korma's next album this soon?
WCP 11th Jul 2020, 4:41 PM
There was a long line. So yes. They did stick around to hear her sing
David31 10th Jul 2020, 12:07 AM
Me thinks Trevor and Simon may have words soon about this? ;)
kennethsarmstrong 10th Jul 2020, 3:34 PM
Four-letter words is more like it 🀬. I hope that it does not come down to that. Trevor and Simon have been friends for far too long πŸΏπŸ•πŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈ.
WaxBadger 10th Jul 2020, 12:15 AM
I think your band is in a state of metamorphosis Trevor. Your bad choice of words managed to push Graham out and now it looks like Simon is testing your leadership by taking more control of the group's direction. If you are forced out of the group, you will have done it yourself.

I didn't even *think* of that.

Would be sad to see the band splinter apart and/or Trevor/Simon's friendship destroyed, but it wouldn't be the first or last time friendships among band members in a group got torn a new one by money/pressure/fame/etc. Sad, but the music world is a *very* cut-throat dog-eat-dog one...
kennethsarmstrong 10th Jul 2020, 3:19 PM
You're not just whistling Dixie! (Gives Trevor a big smooch and then goes around the room screaming "woohoo woohoo" al la Daffy Duck.)
Miscreant Mutt 10th Jul 2020, 12:20 AM
Uh-oh.

*The Incredibles* "Uh oh." XD

Narrator: It was at that moment...that Trevor knew....he fucked up.
kennethsarmstrong 10th Jul 2020, 3:28 PM
Or is it? Trevor is not clueless, but he feels the need to do everything and is incapable at this point of delegating lesser duties to someone else.
kennethsarmstrong 10th Jul 2020, 4:02 AM
I do not think that Simon wants to pull rank on Trevor since both have been friends for too long. The problem is that Trevor never put in the work to sign up Jenna Zara. It seems like Trevor has been so obsessed with getting his new album ready that replacing Graham was the last thing on his mind.

Maybe Simon can talk to Trevor privately. Knowing Trevor, that will be a tall order.

Somebody needs to talk to Trevor before his band implodes.
WCP 10th Jul 2020, 1:54 PM
Jenna? Who’s Jenna?
kennethsarmstrong 11th Jul 2020, 3:53 AM
I am sorry, but I got the name wrong. When Zara was introduced two strips ago, she was not named. Her name was revealed in the following strip.
FreyFox 11th Jul 2020, 9:48 AM
FreyFox
She was introduced by name on my FA page a little while back, but this is the first strip Zara is referred to by name :)
kennethsarmstrong 11th Jul 2020, 1:18 PM
I usually don't keep track of Fur Affinity, but I did visit the site recently. I did not see Zara's picture at the time, but you could have put it up after I visited.
Omnitrexor 13th Jul 2020, 5:50 AM
When did Graham get replaced, what strip was that?
FreyFox 13th Jul 2020, 9:57 AM
FreyFox
The strip where he left the band was number 676, from January 2020. πŸ‘
kennethsarmstrong 13th Jul 2020, 4:22 PM
I really don't want to point this out, but Graham left Zombie Korma in strip #676.

Please do not flame me about my pointing Frey's slight mistake.

Edited. Even I can't be right all the time ^^.
Long Tom 10th Jul 2020, 6:31 AM
So this is the furry equivalent of Fleetwood Mac?
kennethsarmstrong 10th Jul 2020, 3:13 PM
Hmmm, could be.

I do not think Zombie Korma is that close to imploding like Fleetwood Mac, but Trevor feels the need to be in control of everythingπŸ§Ÿβ€β™‚οΈπŸΏπŸ•πŸ¦Š/🐺.

This situation reminds me of a storyline from Kevin and Kell where Kell Dewclaw became so obsessed with opening the then-new meat-packing company that she handled most of the day-to-day operations herself. When a mole from Herd Thinners sabotaged Dewclaw Meats' computer system, it turned out that Kell was the only one who could reset the system. (The saboteur was actually a sheep, but that is another story.) As Kell rushed back to deal with this crisis, her husband Kevin scolded her for trying to do everything at Dewclaw Meats herself πŸ°πŸΊπŸ™„πŸ˜ .

Fleetwood Mac was an unholy mess/revolving door long before even Buckingham/Nicks entered the picture, lol. Peter Green and Danny Kirwan both losing their marbles and dropping out of the band (with Green even spending some time as a grave digger IIRC), Jeremy Spencer abruptly running out of the band during a US tour to join a fringe religious sect, short-term member Bob Weston getting booted for boning Mick Fleetwood's wife behind his back, having a group of imposters pose as "Fleetwood Mac" during a 1974 tour...yeah.

I am well aware a lot of people don't consider the Fleetwood Mac prior to their joining up the "real deal" though! (It's still crazy to think they went from the most hardcore of pure blues bands to probably the prototype to all modern pop rock...)
FreyFox 11th Jul 2020, 9:49 AM
FreyFox
Definitely not a stable line-up then!
kennethsarmstrong 11th Jul 2020, 1:29 PM
Fleetwood Mac likely based its musical style upon its band members at the time. When Stevie Nicks and Lindsay Buckingham joined the band, that caused the band to shift to its present format.
FeigeRoman 10th Jul 2020, 8:41 AM
There's at least two ways that last line can be interpreted. It's either a sign that Simon's beginning to take over - or it's a sign that him and Zara have been secretly banging.

At least, that's how I interpreted it...

While I do agree with the Simon and Zara ship...

I'm going more with the former...

It could be both.
kennethsarmstrong 10th Jul 2020, 11:27 PM
I would not go that far, but if Simon has finally found a soulmate in Zara, both of them seem to be keeping their romance quiet. If Trevor finds out about their romance before Simon tells him, that could become another flashpoint for Zombie Korma.
kennethsarmstrong 14th Jul 2020, 1:28 PM
The album cover looks nice. Unfortunately, the artwork was compressed to fit a CD cover.
Compression should not be a concern for the MP3 version.
