See I knew Sasha wasn't going to get shot, she's in big trouble yes, but not shot. ;)
Ace Country 4th Jan 2019, 2:50 AM edit delete reply
Idk man, during the chase leading up to the arrest all she's really guilty of is eluding police, and speeding. If ya look back through the chase, there was no property damage, no one was hurt, and as far as we know the 5-0 don't know about the organ delivery. If she makes a plea she could get off with community service and probation and suspend her driver's license. As far as the cops are concerned, she didn't do anything to deserve severe prison time. Few months to a year at most
Thomas K Dye 5th Jan 2019, 9:17 PM edit delete reply
She also stole a car (which was destroyed) and a credit card. She's less likely to get community service for that.
Ace Country 6th Jan 2019, 4:03 PM edit delete reply
As far as we know, Johnny law don't know that. Boys in blue didn't even start going after them until she used the median on the freeway to get in front of traffic
Thomas K Dye 7th Jan 2019, 5:35 PM edit delete reply
They may not have known that at the time, but they would surely find out about it while she was in custody.
David31 7th Jan 2019, 12:28 AM edit delete reply
Thomas has a point there I'm afraid Ace Country.
Ace Country 9th Jan 2019, 5:41 AM edit delete reply
Well she's not stupid obviously, surely she knows the first word out of her mouth should be "lawyer" and not say another word. And if that doctor is smart he won't say shit either cuz clearly this family she's helping is powerful and loaded. Not the sort of people to mess with or snitch on. Tis a vicious cycle
GoodKaptainKook 4th Jan 2019, 12:05 AM edit delete reply
Yeah, I didn't *think* she was dead. It's your comic and your characters so you could go whatever direction you wanted with them, but I think going THAT route would feel too mean-spirited and prickish IMO. Reg has had such bad luck in the romance department throughout the whole strip, having Sasha die just as they're growing closer and sparking things off would just be too much on him IMO. So I'm glad you DIDN'T go that way because I know some people might...

But we know she's prison-bound for sure now :( I wonder how the hell this is all gonna be sorted out. And Reg could get locked up too, well...damn! Not a good scenario all around, is it?
FreyFox 4th Jan 2019, 1:01 AM edit delete reply
Yes certainly has opened up a can of worms. I've never killed off a main character in Transmission and I am not starting now ;)
GoodKaptainKook 4th Jan 2019, 1:38 AM edit delete reply
If she's a main character now she ought to be added to the cast list. I've noticed that hasn't been updated in the longest time (Nick isn't even an important character since the early days of the strip so I'm not sure why he's still listed-I guess he's one of those characters you more or less outgrew or found less interesting to work with as time went by? I can relate...)
FreyFox 4th Jan 2019, 10:27 AM edit delete reply
I wouldn't write Nick off yet dude ;) I last updated the cast list a year ago or so, but yeah I need to think about it again soon enough ^^

Meh... not much of a fan of Nick now.

Sure I loved it when he would (comically) hurt himself, but nowadays we don't really see what is up with him and that kinda makes him bland. But that's just in my opinion, don't hurt me please.
FreyFox 11th Jan 2019, 12:56 AM edit delete reply
He'll be returning soon.

I hope you have a great new year and I hope you will focus a little bit more on fanfiction, if you wish.

As if Reggie doesn't have enough on his plate as it is...

*phew* Sasha's alive! Good! Didn't want to lose another character I'm adoring (She's my favorite female character in the comic after hearing her backstory).

But what to do indeed...

Though what WAS the cause of the 'bang bang bangs?'
FreyFox 4th Jan 2019, 1:00 AM edit delete reply
Gunshots directed at Reggie.

Well that ain't gonna end up going well :-/

HONESTLY, I saw rats walking a straight wall like gravity doesn't exist. So...if she told him to leave it's MOSTLY to protect him.
Thomas K Dye 5th Jan 2019, 9:20 PM edit delete reply
That's true. But squirrels ARE better leapers, especially when the adrenaline's kicking in. And the police were closing in fast before Sasha could do anything.
Long Tom 6th Jan 2019, 10:52 PM edit delete reply
When I grew up, I had a very large and muscular black cat who often caught and ate squirrels, often leaving behind the large intestine and bush tail under our porch (which we had to clean up.) Only one other cat also caught squirrels, and he belonged to the neighbors. He also caught bats, don't ask how.
GoodKaptainKook 7th Jan 2019, 11:19 PM edit delete reply
Sounds just like our old Japanese Akita dog-we have voles that live under the ground around here and she would dig them out, eat the front half of them, and leave the backside and guts behind on the ground. I guess the rear ends must not taste good :D
Long Tom 9th Jan 2019, 1:03 AM edit delete reply
In high school a classmate visited my house and I talked about my cat and we both found it funny to see half a squirrel under our porch. Yes, the rear half.

Damn Reggie is in too deep.

Linda's right about one thing. Whatever comes next, Russ needs to know about Sasha.
Speaking of Sasha, Reggie trusts her. She told him that nothing really bad will happen, he'll probably trust that it won't, that it's being handled, by her or somebody. Russ and Linda only know her from their previous encounters. Will Reg be able to convince them to trust her, too? If he can't, they could ruin Sasha's plans and get her and Reg in much bigger trouble doing what they think is "the right thing." I ain't placin' no bets...
Excelsior_thirty 5th Jan 2019, 3:06 AM edit delete reply
By jove, this talk from Linda reminds me of that murder incident in Peru, and Joran van der Sloot called his mother in the Netherlands.
Yes, she said to go to the police on his own will. Would Reggie do this?
maxgoof 5th Jan 2019, 1:00 PM edit delete reply
Good. She's not dead, but Linda is right. Reggie needs to tell Russ. He might be able to help.
D-Rock 10th Jan 2019, 7:17 AM edit delete reply
If he's caught, I'm suddenly VERY concerned that the missing pig incident could be brought up.
ZsewqTheWolf 10th Jan 2019, 8:29 AM edit delete reply
well if he want to stay a freeman he can hide for the next year or so in a basement or so, if i remember right he didn't kill anyone so all it would take is stay in a basement for the next 7 years and his home free.

at most he just have to pay a huge fine, or have to do public work, i mean you go to jail longer for stealing songs online then murdering someone
FreyFox 11th Jan 2019, 12:57 AM edit delete reply
7 years in a basement would probably be not much better than jail.
ZsewqTheWolf 14th Jan 2019, 4:38 AM edit delete reply
vs 10 to 20 years worrying everyday of your butt being rip in two.... ya i think a basement is beter then that but not much given it would be like the old BOX where they put you in there with no one to talk to ebut your own mind
