Well, this competition hasn't gone so well for them. Too bad :( But that's how things go in sporting and competition sometimes. You can't win them all...

This is the kind of practical joke I don't have a problem with, something harmless and good-natured. Unfortunately too many people think a good prank is something cruel, mean-spirited, and potentially physically and emotionally hurtful these days. (I think of the idiots throughout the US who have recently been hurling rocks off overpass bridges onto cars below and then when people get hurt (somebody actually died from a rock hitting their car) trying to claim "bruh it was just a prank lighten up!"

Its definitely not a prank if it can seriously injure or kill someone. Dropping rocks onto moving cars, even if nobody gets hurt, would still qualify as attempted murder.

Well unfortunately a lot of people's ideas of what constitutes as a prank...falls into that sort of area. I feel pretty confident a lot of people doing stuff like this and other dangerous stupid stunts like the Fire Challenge from a few years ago and the Tide Pod Challenge of this year are obsessed with the idea of becoming Internet famous in five seconds or less and being known world-wide and seen hundreds of millions of times...That and most of them are young and in that stage of life where most people think they are invulnerable and nothing consequential of any sort can ever happen to them. They can do whatever seems cool or funny at the time and get away with it without anything bad befalling them as a result. How wrong many of them end up being...

I suppose that's another way the internet changed everything.

Is this the start of a prank war or just team rivalry with someone getting the blame? I have a "funny" feeling whose behind this, but I shouldn't jump to conclusions until the mystery expands in the upcoming panels. :)

This sort of thing actually did happen last season, in the real show. Jason from Team Thor taped down all of the Apex team's tools as a joke while they were in their first round group battle.
