I wonder how Linda would react if their parents tell
Embarrassing childhood stories about Russ :P

Linda's gonna be in for as big an adjustment in England as the guys were when they first came to the States :D

I think what would be hardest for me if I ever moved to the UK (I have no reason to expect I'll ever MOVE there, but visiting is a possibility someday)...would be adjusting to the vastly different time zone. Having the time being dramatically different would probably kill my sleep cycle XD

Well, Linda seems happy to visit a foreign nation! Hopefully she won't embarrass herself or the twins while staying there!

Unlike Linda, I've known for years that people in Great Britian drove on the opposite side!

Russ and Reg: Oh yeah we forgot how grey things can be here?
Russ: At least Linda is enjoying herself.
Reg: At least Russ isn't chewing my tail off for the suggestion.

:D

Oh Linda. Your having a good time I see XD
When reggie said "I wonder how she'll react when she meets our parents", it makes me wonder how Linda will react to trevor... ;-) that is what the twins should worry about, not the parents! XD

To be fair, I have a similar reaction as Linda just going the next state over.

I did visit Britain in 1999, and it did rain every day there, albeit in brief spurts.

It does that ^^

Just wait until she see's her first British pup or fish and chips.
I think twins might get a kick out of showing her a roundabout or some classic British cars.

Grey weather--here in US (northeast) we have many stretches of sunny weather but also do get some grey skies and rain or snow...and that means we're more "green" than say, California (dry, dry). I have never visited Britain though my ancestors came to "the colonies" in the 1600s.

Driving--in A Fish Called Wanda, clueless American Otto ("We did NOT lose Vietnam! It was a tie!") drives on the right side of rd as Americans do and screams, "A--hole!" to the locals who drive on the left and nearly collide with him.

While we don't have chippies in the US, we do enjoy fish and chips. There's a fish and chips chain named after actor Arthur Treacher. A chain of restaurant-pubs is the British Beer company, feat. fish and chips and UK inspired decor. And I enjoy signs for Speckled Hen ale, with a cartoon fox.

It's good to be back home in Jolly Ol' Great Britain. And Linda is going to have an enthusiastic time there. :D

How times a year does Britain get rainstorms?
FreyFox 4th Oct 2016, 1:52 PM edit delete reply
FreyFox
Oh, it's usually steady and can be anywhere between drizzly and torrential. ^^;

Now just take her for curry and she'll have had the full English experience.

If she is excited about seeing all that rain in England, wait until she gets to Scotland.
