"I don't want to holiday in the sun
I want to go to the new Belsen
I want to see some history
'Cause now I got a reasonable economy"

A Cruise ship sounds ok, but if it would start to sink, NOPE! Never again for me! D-:
Also happy birthday Russ and Reg! Are they 31 now?

They may have wanted to spend a holiday as a couple for a few days, way to ruin it Reggie. :D

I'm not much for cruises myself. It takes far too long to get where you're going, and can get very boring once you've done all the activities on the ship. I'd rather take a plane than a boat.

As much as I hate transatlantic flying, it's better to get it over with in 8-11 hours than to spend five days on a bucket of bolts in rough seas.

Just have to be stereotypical, don't you Howard?

An old-fashioned style ocean liner might've been a different story, but today's cruise ships-as I've said before-just look so, eh, unsightly to me. I wouldn't want to go on one! I suppose that wouldn't matter if you're sailing ON the ship, though :D You're not on the ship to look at it and give it points in a beauty contest after all, are you?

Modern day cruise ships lack the style and grace of the grand ocean liners. The Queen Mary 2 is an exception as she is first and foremost designed for transatlantic voyages, but most other ships look just like a floating apartment block. The Costa Concordia wasn't very pretty to look at but it was definitely all about what was on board I guess!

I've been on 11 Cruises since 1999. All to the Carriben. 9 on Royal Carribean and 2 on Carnival. The food is all paid for once you're aboard and you can can purchase drinking plans to reduce the overall cost of alcoholic beverages. The ship to me is the most fun because there's a lot to do on board.
