The sniper rifle won't be much help at that range.

Actually, I don't think there's much you can do to stop a bear attack.

I heard of a guy who got his face savaged by his pet chimp. A race car driver by the name of St. James Davis. Saw him on one of those Animal Planet shows ("Fatal Attractions"-it's about people who kept exotic pets, and what tragically became of them...). Poor guy got his NOSE ripped off...

Seriously...that's not a pretty picture to envision in your mind, a guy with no face...
