I actually know people who EAT ants in real life. God only knows why you would WANT to eat them...

We have a real problem down here in the Southeast with the dreaded pest known as the fire ant. In the summer time they are ALL over our front lawn. They hurt like a BASTARD when they bite you...I personally consider their accidental introduction to the US from their native South America to be one of the worst things EVER!
