Being from Stoke-on-Trent, I can only imagine that this is a real challenge for Reggie. ;)

I wonder how many pounds did Reggie lost after just walking from the parking lot to there. :D

I know exactly what that feels like. My brother once suggested that we follow a bushwalk (AKA forrest trail) starting from a railway station high up in the Hawkesbury mountains all the way down to river level. I'm cubicle fodder, he teaches high school students, so you can guess which of us is more physically fit.

The trail turned out to go up and down numerous steep slopes. My sibling took off like a mountain goat, with me so out of breath I couldn't even tell him to slow the Hell down! Worse still when he said "River level" he actually meant right down to the base of the mountain where the trail re-joined the railway. I was already sore all over, and telling him I was annoyed enough throttle him, except I no longer had the strength. I continued to feel sore for three days.

He tried to cheer me up by offering to buy me an ice cream.

...we found the kiosk closed.

@KangaarFoxfire Tough break XD I do try a bit of hillwalking every so often and I must be getting fitter these days, but I'm still not sure if I am ready to take on a 'Munro' yet (a mountain in Scotland, with a height of at least 3,000ft) but I've been up to the top of Snowdon in Wales on a train and hiked back down. Not the same as climbing it as well though!

@Keenyfox, yup Snowdon was referenced in The Goon Show episode "The Thing on the Mountain" and they mentioned the railway. I'd sure love to tour the UK, but it isn't going to ever happen on my wages. :(

Come on Randall, poor Reggie isn't a collie after all.
The poor lad is out of his comfort zone.

Got that feeling hiking up in the Catskills this past summer. You think you're near the end of the trail...then there's more ahead of you :D
