Our all gas CRX gets better milage than some hybrids (avg 45).

It helps that, as manual trans and manual steering, we can completely cut the engine on hills...hell, on schools, I can ride nearly a mile and into restaurant's parking space with engine off. :P (Course, have to turn key back on so signals work)

I still think CVTs and hybrids (which are now starting to look, sound and drive like actual cars) are the future.
