So....The poor Plymouth is the first 'character' to be killed off in your comic......Now I'd thought it would have lasted much longer then that. :D

That part of the story kinda looks familiar. Like it's from that old movie. Even the end is familiar as well.

Almost no petrol and yet the car went out with a bang!

But I suppose a great vehicle should go down in a blaze of glory. :-p

Well done Mark!

Sad thing is, I wasn't even going to question the thing exploding.

An old car could easily have a dented gas-tank bottom, isolating a chunk of the tank from the pickup point -- or the pickup point itself could be knocked upwards and be unable to access the whole tank. Either way gets you enough fuel to be splashed around in the mostly- empty tank, and then presumably ignited when the tank is sheared open by impact. Still, more likely a fiery 'whoosh' than Hollywood 'boom'. What was in the trailer's tank would be the most likely death of the trucker, if he didn't die outright from the fall (after all, from the hand's position he was wearing his seatbelt) -- with the windshield broken, any kind of toxic fume would be enough to do him in, even if it isn't flammable!

It's not the liquid gas that ignites first, it's the fumes. :P

I'm probably one of the few who thought this, but damn that was a cool truck shame to see it die.

aaww that poor Plymouth :(

1.) GTX died.
2.) Cool 1960s-esqe gas tanker (possible Kenworth from early 60s) died.
3.)If you look at it upside-down, the "hand" looks like the Roadrunner's head. I wouldn't doubt it....
=4.) WHY, YOU SICK ENGLISH SADIST?!? WWWHHHYYYYYY?!?!?!?!

1. Gtx returns in strip #133 alive and well :)
2. The tanker was a Peterbilt
3. Who knows?
4. I am Scottish =P

50 miles from L.A.? Could that be Palmdale? My native desert?

So this is...what, the fourth time now their car has been destroyed? :D

That truck driver was so determined to kill the twins that he had no problem killing himself in the process...Talk about determination!

And that's the end of the sadistic truck driver from hell. You ask me, he got what was coming to him. Serves him right for driving like a maniac.

Shame the twins car got destroyed. Let's hope they're insured.
